I feel that including students' in classroom discussions are extremely beneficial for both the students' and the teacher. Allowing students to relate the context taught in class to their own life experiences will help them show the connection between the two.
ReplyDeleteA teacher should build a community with his or her students as well as parents, faculty and community helpers,
I totally agree with you on building a community in the classroom with your students, but it is also important that you include their parents.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Nicole on including the faculty and people in the community, I also agree with both of you on including the parents. These are important because it allows for the students to gain a better understanding of how different people can contribute to a community. The faculty, people in the community, and the parents all contribute to the students learning on a deeper level than what they can learn from just being in a classroom.
